It builds on knowledge acquired in the Foundation course to provide more advanced knowledge of issues and techniques of PFM, e.g. medium term and programme budgeting, budget classification, International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and IMF Government Finance Statistics (GFS) reporting, governance, accountability and transparency.
Can the online PFM courses be used as a part of a wider programme?
As with the Foundation course, the Diploma can be integrated into existing training programmes for
- Government ministries, departments or agencies
- Development partner-funded projects
- Consulting organisations
- Any organisation working within a PFM environment
